Dealer Josephine "Jo" Meyer, Painter

Josephine "Jo" Meyer was born in Italy, where she studied art and restoration. She likes recreating the work of the old masters, the impressionists, and abstract art in miniature. "Whimsical Infanta Margarita" inspired by Velazquez's "La Infanta Margarita" (1660). With minor changes, Fernando Botero's "Infanta Margarita" (1978) and Picasso's "Infanta Margarita" (1968).
"Melting Cats" is a take off on Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" (1931).
"Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer" (Gustav Klimt, 1907), 2-1/2" square.
"Portrait of Eugenia Primavesi" (Gustav Klimt, 1913–14), 2" x 2-1/2".
